Being single on myspace

Recently, whenever I log into myspace (which isn't all that often), I'm bombarded with friend requests from spam accounts with photos of scantily clad women with large fake boobs. This only started happening recently and I couldn't figure out why. I went years without this happening. I have a theory, however. Whoever runs these accounts trolls all the young, single men who are currently online and offer up the friend request. I guess they don't do it to those that are "in a relationship". Either that or this is a new phenomenon and the timing is merely a coincidence. I'm going with my original theory.

Ouch!

I just spent more on tickets to a show than I have for a long, long time. But alas, I will be going to see My Bloody Valentine on Monday, September 22nd. I bought two tickets, hopefully I'll find a good use for the other one by then.

My elevator...

So, I recently moved into a new building, and since I live on the 5th floor, I mostly take the elevator up. The last few days everytime I get in, I accidentally press the 3 button instead of the 5. Not sure why this is, as they're not even next to each other or on top of each other. It's very annoying because the elevator is really, really slow. Last night when I got home, I really had to pee (blame it on all the beers), yet I hit the 3 button again and it caused me to almost pee my pants.

I think I'm a little spacey these days, so maybe that's the reason. The other day I tripped and fell flat on my face while walking into a giant pipe coming out of the sidewalk. Very nice indeed.

Matches...

For those of you that don't smoke or have never smoked, you might not quite understand what I'm about to talk about. It's the worse feeling in the world when you're walking down the street on a windy day, you go to light a smoke and you realize that you only have one match left. This can put a lot of undue pressure on someone, for fear of missing the last opportunity.

Luckily I live in a town with lots of people around, one of whom usually has a light, or there's always the bodega on the corner for a new book of matches. But when those options aren't available, it's very stressful.

Korean!

Sujan is a gift from above. She shared with me a few phrases in Korean yesterday and I about used them all... and they all paid dividends. Thanks Sujan!
